Trying a new author is always a gamble. This time, the bank won.

This book needs a serious editing job. I’m not talking about typos and grammar mistakes, though there are some, as well as weird layouts and weird paragraphs. No, I’m talking first draft level writing.

There was potential. A lot. The characters were compelling, and there was an interesting story somewhere. But scenes that should have been developped were rushed; there was no time for the characters to connect before they were supposed to be in love; in fact, the whole timeline was off and I never knew how much time had passed between scenes; elements were introduced with no subtlety; the little action in the end, blink and you miss it.

Of all the Cocky Hero Club books I’ve read, this one felt like the CHC characters were shoehorned into the story. They barely make an appearance, and yet they become the best friends ever and come back just to help the main characters at the most opportune time.

There were good ideas, and Tucker was definitely on the swoony side, but I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I expected.

Quickie

- Series: standalone (but part of the Cocky Hero Club)
- Hashtags: #rockstar romance #instalove #divorced #stalker
- Triggers: violent stalker
- Main couple: Trinity Walsh & Tucker James
- Hotness: 2/5
- Romance: 2/5
- + Tuck was an interesting character
- – very poorly done

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Trinity was just trying to get to Temecula to see her cousin and start her new life. What she didn't do was plan accordingly, and ran out of gas in the middle of the desert on her way. When an insanely hot biker takes pity on her, or rather insists on helping her, her brain says no, but her body says yes.
Tucker, the lead singer and guitarist for the up and coming rock band Sutured Souls, is heading from a long tour when he happens upon a stranded motorist. When he meets Trinity, he knows he needs to help her. What he didn't realize was how much he wanted her company once he had her.
Trinity and Rucker fall into an easy friendship, dancing around their intense attraction to one another until the heat between them is about to boil over. But can the cocky rock star get the nice girl?

Trinity is a woman on a mission to get away from her husband and start a new life. After all, no one wants to stay with a cheater. But she wasn't very good at planning this trip to her cousin and she ran out of gas. She never in her life expected to be rescued by the hot rock star on a motorcycle. Tucker is the lead singer and guitarist of his band and he is really a down to earth humble little guy and he takes a liking to Trinity the moment he lays eyes on her. She too feels the same way but has been burned in the past. Can these two ever make it work or is he just another Cocky Rockstar who is going to break her heat. You have to read to find out. This book was good, but short. I felt like I could have used a little more story in some places though.

Short and sweet. Cocky Rockstar is a cute little instalove read with an action twist.

Easy-to-read and entertaining, with a swoony down-to-earth rockstar and a charming and sincere leading lady, and a chance encounter that leads to so much more. While both are trying to get past their past mistakes and move forward with their lives, they’ll discover that sometimes your past comes back to haunt you, but hopefully, they can take control and rewrite their futures, together.

Trinity had to get away and start over after finding her husband cheating on her. She didn't expect to find herself stranded on the side of the road when her car ran out of gas. Nor did she expect to be rescued by a hottie on a motorcycle. Her savior is a gorgeous rocker who takes an instant liking to her, one that's clearly mutual. But she's been burned so won't make it easy on Tucker to claim her heart. Nor will his past make it easy for the two of them to find happiness together.

This is probably the least rockstar rockstar romance I've ever read. It's practically squeaky clean compared to a lot of the rockstar fiction I've read, meaning no vices on display, no temper tantrums with angry rockstars throwing things around, little to no angst, and the only hot scenes are few in number and are only between the main couple. I ended up liking Tucker a lot but the reason for 3 stars is because the whole timeline is so rushed that there wasn't enough time for them to develop a real-feeling or organically changing relationship. I barely met them before the I Love Yous were exchanged, then they were running off to marriage. Definitely not enough time for me to feel a strong or believable connection. I wish this had been expanded into a full length novel, because the bare bones I did get, I enjoyed. I just didn't get enough detail or enough time with them to fall for them or believe in their feelings.

This is my first read by Regina Frame.

Serendipitously, Trinity & Tucker meet when her car runs out of gas on her way to Temecula. She ends up as his housemate temporarily, since her prior housing arrangements fall through. Tucker and Trinity are attracted to each other from the start, but their individual pasts keep on interfering.

I liked the premise of the book, but I don't think it worked the way it was supposed to. The plot was a bit muddled, especially as it turned out to be an insta-love romance. The timelines were vague, and I felt that the couple didn't really have enough on-page time together to fall for each other. Even the way the action/suspense scenes went down... I was left confused. I felt like I had missed pieces of it, even though I re-read the sections repeatedly. Additionally, the way that the book was linked to the Cocky Hero Club world was rushed. One moment, the characters appear. Then several scenes later, with no on-page reconnection, they're suddenly besties.

I think this book had a real chance of being a good read, but it fell short.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

Cocky Rockstar- Such a fun and steamy read !! It was so easy to find myself falling completely in love with this story as well as all the wonderful characters.. Although this is my first time reading Regina Flame , it absolutely will not be my last . I genuinely loved her writing so much that I will be adding her to my list of one click authors. Trinity and Tucker meet by chance when she has trouble with her car . Man does that chance meeting turn into so much more then either bargained for . This is a story about a swoony down to earth rockstar and his leading lady . So much emotion and smexy times , it’s angsty , and will grab onto all your emotions and take you on quite the ride . This is a must read . I loved every single second and honestly could not devour it fast enough

This is a great addition to this amazing series as well as this being a new author to me. This is Trinity and Tucker’s journey. Trinity is heading out to see her cousin and for a fresh start in life, when her car runs out of gas in the desert, and Tucker, who is the lead singer and guitarist for an up-and-coming rock band, comes to her rescue. These two both have pasts to overcome, and the chemistry between them is undeniable. This is a good story which has compelling characters, twists, emotions, and is a steamy and enjoyable, fun, and quick read. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

After being betrayed by her husband Trinity is determined to follow her own path for the future and is heading to Temecula for a new beginning when she experiences car trouble, and a sexy stranger comes to her rescue.

Tucker is part of a rock band who is heading home when he comes across Trinity stranded on the side of the road and circumstances have her becoming his housemate. It is only a matter of time before the sparks fly but not everyone is happy they are together and will do whatever is necessary to keep them apart.

A little suspense and drama as well as two characters who draw you in.

This book had potential along with some good story ideas. It had weird layouts and weird paragraphs. The characters barely make an appearance, and yet they become the best friends ever. The ending was so predictable, Like the writing was trying to throw drama in last min. I felt board reading this. This story should be re-written and the scenes longer more chemistry between the characters the scenes that should have been developed were rushed.

This was a good read although some parts of the story seemed confusing to me as some things weren't developed enough and left me with questions. I liked Tucker and Trinity however and the way they meet and friendship develops. There is attraction and tension and some small drama. The story moves quickly and develops fast.

Trinity and Tucker have instant chemistry. When Trinity is stranded Tucker can't let her stay in her car all night. These two find they have a spark but will Trinity give in? After being burned she doesn't know if being with a Rockstar is the right move.

I enjoyed this book. There were parts that I felt were a little rushed but this was still a great #kuread.

An amazing book. Trinity is on her way to her cousins after she gets divorced to start her new life when she runs out of gas in the middle of nowhere. Tucker who happens to be in an up and coming rock band stops and offers to help her. After she accepts his offer they become fast friends. They both are attracted to each other. Will they give in to their attraction? To find out you need to read this amazing book. I recommend this book.

Cocky Rockstar is a temptation full of thrilling moments and heated romance. Trinity and Tucker turn a chance encounter into a love song unlike any other. Frame grabs hold of emotions quickly and never quite lets up on the heart.

New author for me. This was a nice insta-love romance. Yeah! Chance and Aubry! D-bag exes and gold diggers are the worst. Alexander's b*tch voice is perfect for making you hate her 🤣

Regina Frame is a new to me author and I really enjoyed Cocky Rockstar. Trinity and Tucker meet by chance when Trinity has trouble with her car and he stops to help her. He not only makes sure her car gets looked after, but he also takes her to his house. There is some pretty hot chemistry between them, but Trinity has been burned pretty bad by an idiot that she was blinded by love and married only to be taken advantage of. She was on her way to starting a new life and career when Tucker, a super hot rock star came upon her. She decides there can be nothing more than friendship between them, but fate has other ideas!! Tucker has quite the history of his own, and a crazy stalker to show for it...one he can't quite seem to get out of his life. Trinity and Tucker do end up being more than friends, and she starts to feel so much for Tucker, but she also feels like she's not good enough for Tucker, and why would he want someone like her when he could have anyone he wants. Well, it seems Tucker wants no one else but Trinity, and it'll take a little bit of work to try and convince her of that!! And what about this crazy chick that won't leave Tucker alone...well, you'll just have to read this book to find out what ends up happening with that, and what happens with Trinity's ex too!!
