WaLinuxAgent 2.2.9 Packaging

A quick note: I will prepare all the packaging and do preliminary local testing but afterwards we'll be basically stalled until the aa (17.10) archive is opened (no name for it yet, so it might take a bit).

  It is with great pleasure I am pleased to announce that the Linux Agent (WALA) version 2.2.9 has now been signed off and is in Master now, it is of huge thanks to the dev team behind it who have really done a great job and for those of you who have contributed with feedback to make it better.

Sure thing, we're all ready with the packages and slowly finishing local testing. Once that's done I'll upload to zesty, yakkety, xenial and trusty. I expect those to land in the -proposed pockets tomorrow - and after the 7-day testing (grace) period they should be available in -updates.

Testing complete and passed for zesty and yakkety.

Tested 2.2.9-0ubuntu1 for zesty and 2.2.9-0ubuntu1~16.10.1 for yakkety.

Testing complete on xenial (2.2.9-0ubuntu1~16.04.1) and trusty (2.2.9-0ubuntu1~14.04.1).

All tests passed on all releases.

This completes the cpc team proposed sru testing defined in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/walinuxagentUpdates.

The verification of the Stable Release Update for walinuxagent has completed successfully and the package has now been released to -updates. Subsequently, the Ubuntu Stable Release Updates Team is being unsubscribed and will not receive messages about this bug report. In the event that you encounter a regression using the package from -updates please report a new bug using ubuntu-bug and tag the bug report regression-update so we can easily find any regressions.
