While we've had an active week of weather last week, this week for the most part will offer a nice break. Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with near seasonal temperatures in the mid 40s.

However, an intensifying storm system in the North Atlantic Ocean near Nova Scotia will push back towards the New England coast, but stay far enough offshore so as not to bring any substantial precipitation to Southern New England.

That will usher in bouts of colder air, more cloud cover, and a few snow showers towards Cape Cod midweek.

The weather should relax and the sun is expected to return Friday. However, long range guidance models indicate we may be looking at another storm bringing a variety of winter weather Saturday 3/11. The GFS suggests a snow/mix/rain scenario as of this writing Sunday night 3/5.

The European model suggests a colder snowier scenario. Keep in mind, a lot can change between now and then.

We'll have further updates all this week.
