More than 35 bars and restaurants across Rhode Island are participating in Craft Beer Week.

The owner of Apponaug Brewing Company in Warwick, Tamara McKenney, says this week always brings in more business.

"We are incredibly excited, the fact we are highlighting craft beer for all of Rhode Island and so many great breweries and we get so many that come out that might not be coming out to Apponaug Brewing Company," McKenney said.

The wait on Saturday night was more than an hour.

Apponaug is doing special flights and deals on merchandise.

Narragansett Brewing Company in Providence is unveiling new beers, collaborating with PVDonuts, and doing a four-course dinner.

"It's a great local thing to have, it ties together local food people, local food and beverage people," said John Martone, assistant general manager. "Breweries, to me, are about community more than anything else."

Customers NBC 10 News spoke with said they were excited to take part.

"We were excited about Matunuck Oyster Bar having the pop-up here, so we decided to check it out," said Jason Catalan.

Eric Breault said he enjoys when local breweries hold events and deals.

"Certain events and stuff, like trivia nights or if there are certain beer specials, I like to come and check them out," Breault said. "Anywhere that has beer, I'll go and hang out."

Craft Beer Week runs until March 12.
