Police announced on Monday the arrest of a Providence man connected to a weekend shooting in Pawtucket.

The Pawtucket Police Department responded to a shooting on Saturday around 9:15 p.m.

Investigators say a vehicle’s rear window was shot in the vicinity of Bullock Street and Harrison Street.

Two suspects fled the scene as did the vehicle. Police found the victim on Hancock Street. Three people were inside the vehicle, according to the department.

Two persons of interest were taken into custody, police say, but only one was charged.

Nicholas Armenti, 25, was charged on Sunday and arraigned by a bail commissioner.

He is charged with:

  • Three counts of felony assault.
  • Carrying a pistol without a license.
  • Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
  • Use of a firearm during a crime of violence.
  • Firing in a compact area.

Armenti was held at the ACI as a violator.
