PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WJAR) — Firefighters in Pawtucket battled frigid temperatures and flames at a home Saturday night.
One family, two adults and three children, are being assisted by the Red Cross.
Smoke and flames started showing in the Carter Avenue house at about 7:45 p.m.
Investigators said the fire started in the basement and worked its way up the home.
One person inside was able to make it out OK. One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
