Driver runs from state troopers, loaded pistols found in vehicle in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Two Providence men were arrested on gun charges following a foot chase with state troopers on Friday afternoon.

Troopers pulled over a vehicle on Russo Street around 1:30 p.m. when the driver, 31-year-old Kyrell Clark, took off on foot.

The passenger, 36-year-old Rashaad Martin, stayed on scene.

Troopers say they found two loaded pistols in the vehicle.

Police found Clark and took him and Martin into custody.

They both face gun charges and Clark faces additional charges for running.

They were arraigned and brought to the ACI.

Clark was held as a bail violator and Martin was held pending a bail hearing.
