Priest at St. Ann Parish in Raynham put on leave

(WJAR) — Parishioners of St. Ann Parish in Raynham were recently informed their pastor was put on temporary leave.

According to the Diocese of Fall River, Reverend James M. Fitzpatrick was placed on administrative leave by the bishop following a recent allegation of behavior that violated the Code of Conduct.

The Diocese said the allegation does not involve a minor.

While on leave, Fitzpatrick is not allowed to exercise public ministry or present himself as a priest in public settings.

The Diocese is making arrangements for a temporary priest to assume responsibilities.
