Car barrels into Providence home

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A car went barreling into a Providence home Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Chalkstone Avenue.

Surveillance video from a home nearby shows the aftermath of the crash, with smoke coming from the damaged vehicle.

Emergency crews told NBC 10 the driver was conscious and taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
