Members of the Providence College men's basketball team boarded a plane Wednesday for Greensboro, North Carolina, and the NCAA Tournament.

Head coach Ed Cooley told NBC 10's Frank Carpano that the feeling never gets old.

"It never gets old," Cooley said. "We need more! We want more!"

No. 11 Providence will take on the No. 6 Kentucky Wildcats in the first round.

Cooley said Tuesday that his team needs to be better defensively to take on Kentucky, saying the Friars' opponents are one of the better offensive-rebounding teams in the country.

He said he believes the Friars are up to the challenge, having taken on a similar team in the UConn Huskies.

PC beat UConn once in their last three meetings.

“I think we need to run great offense,” he told the media on Tuesday. “They have length at every position, so we have to be efficient offensively to try to limit them to one shot.”

The game is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. Friday.
