On January 26th, Iowa Senate Democrats have a special election for Senate District 41 -- just 6 days after the inauguration of President Joe Biden!
This seat was won by Obama in 2008, 2012 and Congressman Loebsack in 2018. Not to mention, in 2017 House Democrats were able to flip the more rural half of this senate seat from red-to-blue with Phil Miller.
Our candidate, Mary Stewart, is a native to Southeast Iowa and has dedicated her life's work to bettering her community. As an Administrator at the local community college, Mary worked to create academic and job training programs to create opportunities for good paying jobs in Southeast Iowa.
