The original elm across from the Boston distillery became Massachusetts' most potent symbol of revolt and resistance to British tyranny.  The tree became known as the Liberty Tree.

The British chopped down the tree in 1775 but the image of the Liberty Tree became symbolic of the colony's defiance of tyranny.

Thomas Jefferson wrote in 1787, "The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

There is a faithful remnant that remains devoted to resisting tyranny.  Defender Gear is proud to honor those early Revolutionary heroes who courageously resisted the powerful enemies of our natural rights as free people.
