Why: Beautiful mountains, hot springs, spectacular canyons, and because it's one of ten dark-sky parks in the world.

Big Sur, California
When: December 4 to December 13
Base Airport: San Francisco International Airport
Why: Big Sur is one of the few places in the US where you can summit 5000-ft peaks, relax under redwoods, and dip your toes in the ocean in one day! We'll be hiking through some of the most varied landscapes that North America has to offer, getting some awesome views of coasts and deserts, and playing some wonderful card games.

Superstition Wilderness, Arizona
When: December 10 to December 16
Base Airport: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
Why: Gorgeous hikes, incredible people, memories that will last a lifetime, the roughin' it experience of backcountry camping in Arizona, and even potentially lost treasure; what more of a reason do you need?

North Wash Canyons, Utah
When: December 1 to December 10
Base Airport: Salt Lake City, UT
Why: Explore incredible canyons from the inside out. Involves repelling, scrambling, and maneuvering down some tight rock slots, however no experience is necessary. Explore the depths of some of the most beautiful canyons in country.
