Your skills can make a difference in the life of a child.
Volunteer as a homework coach at MS54 to pass your study skills on to the next generation. You will coach a 6th or 7th grader one-on-one over Zoom, helping with homework while teaching them how to stay organized and motivated. MS54 faculty will support your work as you prepare your student for a lifetime of success.

Who Are We?
MS54 (or Booker T. Washington) is a public middle school in the Upper West Side. We are located on 108th and Columbus Avenue. Check us out at www.ms54.org
Why Homework?
Discipline, time management, persistence in the face of obstacles...study skills are the foundation for success in school and beyond. Homework gives middle school students the chance to develop these skills outside of the classroom, but many of them need some help to get started. When you coach and mentor your student, you provide a bridge between direct instruction and independent self-discipline.  
Why You?
