This term, Cabin and Trail is trying something new and running a CnT training trip for heelers and leaders who want to gain more backpacking experience! The idea is to give heelers and leaders with little to no backpacking experience a chance to go backpacking before they lead trips in the future.

Wait, but do I even qualify as an applicant for this trip?

We're not trying to be exclusive here! We're just trying keeping the applicant pool internal to the club so that we can tailor the learning experience of this trip to leaders and potential leaders in the club. Applicants for this trip include but are not limited to: leaders, heelers, heelers who might soon be leaders, social members, folks who like to come to meetings but maybe don't hike a ton, folks who hike a ton but maybe don't come to meetings, and every combination thereof. We only ask that you're currently active in the club in some shape or form and plan to continue to be so!

Alright, cool, what are we doing?

We're going to be hiking the Whites! We'll start on Washington and work our way south on the AT, hitting some excellent 4000 footers, getting picked up on the Kinsmans! (***Edit: our original plan was to go to the Lodge for dinner and an overnight, but they're all booked for senior dinners that night. So there will group dinner back in Hanover instead on the night of the 9th!)

June 5th through June 9th!
