2019 Student Submission Form

Thank you for your interest in undergraduate research and creativity opportunities! This electronic application system will enable you to apply for a PURSUE or CoSURP award for 2019. Please enter the pertinent information requested.

PURSUE awards allow up to 100 paid hours of scholarly work starting in the spring 2019 semester.
CoSURP awards allow up to 100 paid hours of scholarly work for spring 2019 and another 100 hours in fall 2019.
Both programs pay $15/hr with a maximum of 10 hour per week.

The deadline to submit your completed application is Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:59 pm (Central Time). Incomplete and late submissions will not be reviewed.

Eligibility Requirements

•All currently enrolled UNO degree-seeking undergraduate students in all academic disciplines eligible.
(CoSURP awards are for College of Science students only).
•Domestic and international students are eligible
•Students must identify a UNO research mentor listed on this submission form.
•Minimum cumulative G.P.A. 2.0 (minimum required to be hired as a student worker)
•During the semesters employed, students must be enrolled at least half-time (6 hours during each Fall and Spring semester and three hours in the summer)
•You do not need to be eligible for federal work study to receive this award, however, the University of New Orleans requires all domestic student employees have a current, completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form on file with the University. The student will be reviewed for Federal Work-Study prior to being hired as a Budget student employee.
•If you applied for a PURSUE or CoSURP award previously, regardless if you received an award, you may reapply.

Note: The award period for the upcoming year will begin January 2, 2019, so if you are graduating in December 2018, you will be ineligible.
