In 1980, one of the world's most famous Polish directors,
Krzysztof Kieślowski, created a film entitled
"Talking Heads." In 2023, young people have widely used or taken inspiration from fragments of the this film to create their own videos on TikTok. Often they do not know who these fragments come from.
Kieślowski made his film in a way that was very simple, but also very effective. He asked two simple questions to people at each age from 1 to 100: "Who are you?" and "What do you want?" In 18 minutes he showed the whole life of a human being.
During the workshop, we will take inspiration from Kieślowski's film and the most successful attempts to remake it on social media. We will create short 1-2 minute videos (also using photos). These will be diaries of a single day-in-the-life, which we will put on a YouTube channel created for this purpose. Viewed one by one, they will create a vivid and true portrait of the youth of 2023.
