Homestead 06:43
We cleared the land that spring. Tilled the earth and planted seed. Tended to our fields. With promise of all they’ll yield. God willing and the creek don’t rise. Took a long, long while. We built our home in the summertime. And held our heads up high. Had hope in the cloudless sky. God willing and the creek don’t rise. We stacked the wood all fall. To keep us warm as the night grows long. And harvest what we can. We’ll have enough to make a stand. God willing and the creek don’t rise. Our world became so small. In the winter months until the thaw. The cold can change a man. We’ll make it though, best we can. God willing and the creek don’t rise.
2.
Rocky Roost 03:29
The clouds have formed. Along the edge of the sky. A mighty mountain is born. How it tricks our eyes. I take my turn. To lead the way. Down this dusty old road. On our great escape. Headlights shine. Reflected in their eyes. And I hit the brakes. But not in time. I can’t slow down. Wheels spinning round. Feet have left the ground. All is still now.

Pacing on a path, found a pond. Resting on the coast, old man with a gun. He takes aim as I'm on the run. Less of a man, (less of a man). Would know what to say. Know what to say. Say god damnit but I needed to eat.
4.
Barn Burning 06:53
In the night I cast a light, mine. In the cold I bring them warmth, mine. And their lungs I fill them up, mine. And their lives I snuff them out, their mine. Barnburner, I take them sooner. Barnburner, my warmth is forever.
5.
The Incident 04:44
Noise heard from outside it. Light makes an easy pick. I'm headed for the door. Beer on the floor. Eyes seem to search for more. Fate fails to change my course. Who are you to bring us down? When we have a good time. If you're bothered settle now. Take a second lighten up. Know all in good time. What goes around comes around. Reach out the crowd just stares. Likely praying they don't get theirs. Nothing said matters now. Blood on the floor. Lucky bodies are out the door. But this one is no more. Who are you to bring us down? When we have a good time. If you're bothered settle now. Take a second lighten up. Know all in good time. What goes around comes around. What are you good for? Controlled burn, but maybe more.

I stepped into this old saloon for a drink or two. Watched the tab add up. Guess I’ve had a few. Catch my name being said. You’re talking shit I know it’s true. You don’t know what I am. You don’t know. I spin you round. Before I drop you to your knees. Hey, did I hear my name? Do you got something to say to me? “Show yourselves the door”. The barkeep said, calling the police. You don’t know what I am. You don’t know. I step out in the cold night and exhale. My breath it forms in the air; a cloud. You turn to me and you say “go to hell”. You don’t know what I am. You don’t know. Maybe not tonight but when that moon is bright. The timings just not right for you to feel my bite.

Avro Arrow 05:30
Hello old friends. I have been waiting. Guess it depends why I’m so patient. Don’t you rely on my wings to fly? It’s all a lie. Can you reach the sky? Why have you thrown me out with all that I have and can do for you?

Bonanza 05:26
The men all prayed at night. As they held their bottles tight. The colour clouds their minds. They dream of what they’ll find. One by one they came. To me about their claims. Just sign here and they all agreed. A little luck is all they need. Plot after plot they found. The riches in the ground. And the fever took it’s hold. I’ll be there to collect their souls. The day will come before they're old and grey. And I’ll be there to take it all away. Drag them down to their new home. Trade in that gold, for fire and brimstone.
