Reverse Confetti Summer Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Reverse Confetti summer release blog hop! I have two cards to share with you today using a few of the darling new products! My first card uses the amazing new Flower Builder Confetti Cuts! If you know me, then you know how much I love flower dies! These are so much fun to use and I love all of the different options you have with just a handful of dies!

I decided to cut enough pieces so I could create the large, full bloom, a half-bloom, and then the smallest half bloom for variation. I used Distress Oxide inks to color all of the flowers, leaves, and centers. I also took some design liberties and created a few smaller flowers using the centers of the flowers for something different.

I die cut the background using the new Deco Cover Panel and then layered up all of the leaves and flowers using foam squares and liquid glue for dimension. I used one of the sentiments from the new Sunny Flower stamp set and anchored it in the middle of the blooms.

Once I had everything arranged on the background how I liked, I added quite a generous sprinkling of glitter to add some sparkle and shine!

The centers of the small flowers have cupped sequins in the centers for additional detail and sparkle. I layered the entire focal panel onto a top-folding A2 card base using the same blue cardstock.

My second card uses the new Sunny Flower stamp set. I wanted something soft and light so I inked the flowers up using blue and pink ink. The flowers are stamped in yellow for something unexpected and different.

I stamped the "friend" portion of the sentiment onto a panel of soft stone cardstock using black ink. I stamped the "thanks" portion onto a strip of white cardstock and I added it over the top of the other sentiment using foam squares.

I covered up the sentiment with a bit of post-it note and then added some black ink splatter.

I added a trio of sequins and some glitter to finish it off! Thanks for fluttering by!

Reverse Confetti May Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome, friends! Today is the Reverse Confetti 9th Birthday release blog hop! I'm sharing two projects with you for the hop using some of the cutest new products in honor of the celebration!

My boys' school is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week later than the nationally scheduled time, but that doesn't mean I haven't already been working hard on getting gifts and things put together for them! I found the cutest bundle of lotions and potions at Bath and Body Works featuring butterflies and purple and blue tones with the sentiment "I appreciate you everyday". I knew it would be the perfect gift to send for the teachers!

I created a trio of tags using the new A Beautiful Day stamp/die set to coordinate with the gifts! Since I was using 3 each of every butterfly image in the set, I decided to use the emboss/resist technique for a soft look, and to make great use of my time! I chose to use the same colors that the box featured, of course!

I used the new tag die collection to create the layered tag. The base layer is cut using the largest die and then the next layer is die cut using the second tag die included in the set. I die cut this layer from watercolor paper and then spritzed it with Salvaged Patina Distress Spray for some added detail. The sentiment, which is an older set, coordinated so nicely with the bold font on the box. I couldn't resist using it for these tags, but the included sentiments are very lovely, too! My choice was purely based on coordination! ha ha! I heat embossed the "you are totally awesome sentiment, which is from the Best Sentiments stamp set, onto strips of vellum. I secured them to the back in a very tidy manner opting for a thin piece of ScorTape. I also added a few gems here and there for added detail and shine.

My second project for today uses the new Wildflowers stamp/die set! I know I say it every new release blog hop, but I rarely do any coloring these days, so it's always fun to get my markers out to color!

I'm especially loving this cute sentiment, which is one of three included in the Wildflowers set. I heat embossed it in white for a bold contrast! The background was cut using the same cardstock and the Stitched Scallops Cover Panel to give the background some subtle detail.

I die cut the flower panel using the Wildflowers die set and then layered it onto a piece of Darling Dots paper. I added a few sparkling clear sequins for some sparkle and shine! Thanks for fluttering by!
Don't forget to hop along to the other designers' blogs to see what magic they've created!

Reverse Confetti March Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Reverse Confetti March release blog hop!! I've got two springtime cards to share with you today using some of the CUTEST products from the release!

Up first is a fun hello, spring card using the new Egg-stra Cover Panel and a few other fun stamp sets from the new release. I die cut the Cover Panel from white cardstock and then again from Aqua cardstock. I used an assortment of Distress Oxide inks to color the eggs that were die cut from white cardstock. I then used my old SU! color spritzing tool to add the speckles. I think they turned out looking almost exactly like the yummy chocolate Cadbury eggs!

I adhered the Aqua Cover Panel to a top folding A2 cardbase using foam squares. Once that was done, I popped the colored eggs back into place using small foam squares. I added a 2 inch panel of pattern paper from the Pattern Play 6 by 6 paper pad using additional foam squares for dimension. I made some paper "grass" by cutting super thin strips of green cardstock and then spritzed them with water and crumpled them up. Once they were dry, I added them over the top of the pattern paper using a strip of ScorTape. The sentiment, which is from the new Springtime Sentiments, is heat embossed in white and then wrapped around the grass. I added the two cute bunnies from the Better With Friends stamp set to finish off this spring card!

My second card uses the new Sending Smiles stamp set for this playful floral card. I die cut three flowers, three leaf clusters, and three flower centers and stamped them using spring-y colors. I used the new freebie set called Dot to Dot to add a few stamped details in both the bottom left corner and the upper right corner for some visual movement.

I added the "sending smiles" sentiment panel and a few black ink splatters.

I hope you've enjoyed today's hop! Thanks for fluttering by!

Reverse Confetti January Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Reverse Confetti January release blog hop! This entire release is so fun and full of amazing products! I'm sharing two cards with you today using a few of the new products paired with some older favorites!

I'm in love with the whimsical style of the new Poppies stamp set. I chose to go with the traditional red poppy, but I can't wait to try stamping them in all sorts of different colors!

To begin, I stamped four of the outline image from the Poppies stamp set in black and then added the color using the 5 steps to bring the se cute flowers to life. I used my mini MISTI so getting them all stamped was a breeze! I used the coordinating Poppies Confetti Cuts to die cut the flowers and set them aside. I knew for sure I wanted to use this particular sentiment from the new Big Heart Sentiments stamp set, so I die cut the outline shape and then used my mini MISTI to line up the image and then stamped it in black.

I die cut the Oh My Heart Cover Panel using white cardstock and then adhered it to a top folding A2 card base using liquid glue. I added a strip of red pattern paper that is from the This and That 6 by 6 Paper Pad to give the background some detail and interest. Once that was done, I adhered the center portion of the Stitched Note Frames Confetti Cuts using foam squares. I really wanted a place to "ground" the heart, which is from the new Postal Cover Panel Confetti Cuts, and this little stitched note is always a perfect choice.

The "I keep you in my heart" sentiment fits perfectly over the heart and I adhered it using foam squares. I heat embossed the "you are a gift to me" portion of the sentiment, which is one of the sentiments included in the Poppies stamp set, in white onto a strip of black cardstock. I arranged the Poppies around the focal images and then added the embossed sentiment.

I saved a few of the white hearts that were cut from the Cover Panel. I added them back into three of the empty spaces using foam squares and then coated them with Nuvo Crystal Glaze and glitter.  I also added a bit of glitter to the flowers and leaves for even more sparkle and shine!

My second card for today uses one of my all-time favorite stamp sets called Big Bear! I rarely make critter cards anymore, so pulling out this cutie was such a treat! I stamped him in black and then colored him with an assortment of Copic markers. I also stamped the mug, letter, and heart and colored those as well.

I layered a piece of red striped paper from the Sweet Stripes 6 by 6 paper pad onto a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue. I also layered the Postal Cover Panel over the top of that using foam squares. Please note: I cut an 1/8 inch off of each side so that you would be able to see more of the striped paper peeking out. I also layered the pale pink polka-dot paper from the Darling Dots 6 by 6 paper pad in the center of the postal panel.

I die cut the larger heart from the same striped paper as the background and then die cut the smaller heart using a cute pink pattern from the Pattern Play 6 by 6 paper pad. I layered both of the hearts onto the same heart that was die cut from white to give them more stability. I knew I would be popping them up with foam squares and I didn't want any wavy edges.

The "be mine" sentiment is from the same stamp set as my first card: Big Heart Sentiments. I added the accent sentiment, which is heat embossed in white and is from the previously released So Very Lovely stamp set

I stuffed Mr. Bear's arms with all of his accessories using foam squares. I added everything to the card base using either foam squares or liquid glue.

A trio of sparkling clear sequins finish off this fun Valentine's Day card! Don't forget to hop along to the other designers' blogs to see all that they have to share using this fun new release! Thanks for fluttering by!

Reverse Confetti New Release Blog Hop

There's a lot of fun and fabulous new products included in the November Reverse Confetti release this month! I had a ball creating this cute nativity scene using the new Adore Me stamp set! I always love creating cards and projects highlighting the true meaning of Christmas and these cute images couldn't be any sweeter!

I love this new Brilliance background! I die cut it from white cardstock and then added Distress Oxide ink around the edges to create the night sky. I left the middle white so that it would light up the scene, just like the star would in real life. Once that was done, I added some white paint splatter to give the illusion of stars twinkling in the background.

I stamped the stable, the birds, and baby Jesus, Joseph, and Mary using black ink and then colored them using an assortment of alcohol markers. I die cut the star from glitter cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto a strip of vellum.

I used the coordinating Adore Him Confetti Cuts to die cut the images. I added them to the card using foam squares for dimension. The glitter star is popped up right over the top of the stamped image.

I wrapped the vellum sentiment around the panel and secured it with adhesive on the back. I attached the entire panel to a top folding Navy blue card base using foam squares. I added a few moonshine sequins to give the card some additional sparkle!

My next card uses the fun and funky Retro Holiday stamp set! I adore retro Christmas cards; they evoke sweet memories from my childhood that I love! I also used the new snowy sentiments (which I believe is a freebie) for the bottom of the card.

I used the ornament die cut rather than the stamps and die cuts together. I wanted the ornaments to have a solid look with the gold glitter circle.

I used a lot of the little images in the set to give the card that true retro look! I chose an unexpected color combo, but one that is truly 60s inspired!

I added one of the foliage clusters from the older Lanterns stamp set to give the card some added detail. I glued a few sequins to the centers of the star/snowflake images for sparkle. I also added some glitter to the ornaments and the image! Don't forget to hop along to the other participating designers' blogs to see what they've created! Thanks for fluttering by!
