Biography

2020-21 (Senior): Finished his career at Augustana at the NCAA Super Region 5 Tournament… Tallied 47 career wins as a Viking.

2019-20 (Junior): Went 16-14 overall and 6-5 in duals at 125 pounds with two major decisions and six tech falls… Logged 30 takedowns, five reversals, 22 escapes, nine two-point nearfalls, 19 four-point nearfalls and five riding time points.

2018-19 (Sophomore): Compiled an overall record of 13-20 at 125 pounds… Went 3-5 in duals… had two falls, one tech fall, and three major decisions… Took third at the Finn Grinaker Open on Dec. 1 at 125 pounds.

2017-18 (Redshirt Freshman): Had a record of 11-6 at 125 pounds ... went 6-2 in duals and 1-1 in NSIC duals ... took sixth at the Yellowjacket Open (Nov. 4) ... put together one fall, two tech falls and three major decisions on the year.

2016-17 (Freshman): Sat out as a redshirt and wrestled unattached in all matches …posted a record of 7-9 at 125 pounds … took third at the Buena Vista Open (Dec. 3) … recorded 18 takedowns and 16 escapes with two major decisions on the season.

High School: 2016 graduate of Kenyon Wanamingo High School ... finished with a career record of 136-15 … won a state title as a junior with a record of 46-1 … named the Fairbault All-Area Wrestler of the Year as a junior … earned The Guillotine Academic All-State first team honors … took fourth at state as a sophomore … twice named HVL All-Conference and Academic All-Conference.

Personal: Son of Mike Cota and Tova Eggerstedt … born in St. Paul, Minn. on April 17, 1998 … will major in Computer Science
