  • In the third quarter vs. Saint Mary's (12/16), Lowery checked into the game for her first appearance since the 2021-22 season. After she recorded her first point back on the court, she was met at half court with hugs from her teammates and applause from the bench and the crowd.

  • Senior Spotlight (READ)

2022-23: Did not play due to an injury before the start of the season.

2021-22: Lowery appeared in six games throughout the season, totaling 29 minutes of playing time.

2020-21: After missing her freshman season to a foot injury, Lowry made an incredible return to the team and was one of only three players to play in all 21 games. She made eight starts throughout the season, averaging 14 minutes, 2.8 points, and 1.5 rebounds per game.

2019-20: Did not play due to an injury before the start of the season.

High School: During her high school career, the Sacramento native led the CK McClatchy Lions to a Northern California Division I Title. In her senior season, she averaged 14.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game, which led the team in all categories. Throughout her career, she helped her team to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championship game and twice to the CIF state tournament. Unsurprisingly, Lowry was an All-Metro League selection four times, earning first-team as a senior. She was a vital member of any team she played on, earning MVP of the elite IQ Hoops Nor Cal Select Invitational and earning a spot on the EYBL Nike Cal Stars team along with former teammate Haley Van Dyke.

Personal: Nia is the daughter of Sonjhia and Josh Lowery. Sonjhia (Fleming) graduated from Oregon State as the all-time leader in rebounds (now fifth on the list) and is a member of the OSU Athletics Hall of Fame. She went on to play professionally in Sweden. Her father also played collegiate basketball at the University of Portland and San Diego State. Lowery also has one younger sibling, Nya.

Outside of basketball, Lowery had thrived in the classroom, making Dean’s every year since coming to Washington and the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll in 2022 and 2023. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a professional playing career and enter business.
