Nail Communications Expands Operations Department with Rachel Coogan

As the Business Administration Manager, Coogan will be responsible for in-office support, online experiences and staff services. Additionally, Coogan will lead talent onboarding logistics, among other responsibilities.
“As we enter our 25th year in business, we’re continuing to embrace growth with exciting new changes and initiatives,” said Jeremy Crisp of Nail. “To do this, it was important for us to bring in the right person to spearhead the day-to-day operations that keep our business running smoothly. Rachel comes to us with an impressive pedigree and infectious enthusiasm. We’re thrilled to have her on board.”
Prior to joining Nail, Coogan worked with Hoffman as the Director of Operations and Client Experience, where she oversaw corporate and client administrative activity. Additionally, she has worked for several esteemed organizations in the Greater Boston area, including CIC, Tracksmith, and Latham & Watkins.
“I’m eager to care for Nail—finding and filling needs while seizing opportunities to surprise and delight,” said Coogan. “I look forward to collaborating with the creative, curious, thoughtful, and ambitious team as we set each other up for greater success in service of our clients.”
Coogan holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language & Literature and Education Studies from Wellesley College. Outside of work, Rachel trains and races as an elite runner with Boston Athletic Association. She joined the Nail team as a full-time employee in January 2023.
Craig McKenzie Joins BankRI as SVP, Franchise Banking
With an eye toward expanding and supporting local business development, Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) has grown its Commercial Banking Team. The bank recently hired Craig McKenzie as Senior Vice President, Franchise Banking.
In his role, Craig works closely with existing and prospective franchise owners and operators on lending options and business solutions specific to the needs of the franchise industry. He develops individualized strategies for clients through identifying the best financial products and services to manage and control operating costs, streamline cash flow, process payments, and more. In particular, he will focus on quick service restaurant franchise business, servicing customers throughout Rhode Island.
“Franchise business is an industry that has nearly doubled in recent years, and is an area in which we see further growth opportunities as a result of evolving consumer preference and service models,” said Will Tsonos, President & CEO of BankRI. “Adding a professional of Craig’s skill and experience allows us to be even more responsive and strategic when it comes to our franchise clients and prospects – he’s a tremendous addition to our team.”
Prior to joining BankRI, Craig was a Vice President with Pacific Premier Franchise Capital and a Treasury Analyst for Dunkin Brands. He holds a BS in Finance from Northeastern University and earned his MBA from Suffolk University.
Craig lives in Falmouth, MA, with his wife of 25 years and their three college-age children. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer.
