Two Dead in Car Crash in Downtown Providence

Two people are dead following a single-car accident in Providence overnight.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a crash next to the highway retaining wall at East Franklin and Pine Streets shortly after 4:30 AM on Sunday.
Police said upon arrival they discovered two occupants in the vehicle — both deceased.

Police are not releasing any additional information at this time.
Detectives are currently investigating.
