Juvenile Apprehended After Armed Carjacking in Providence

A juvenile was apprehended after an armed daytime carjacking in Providence.
Police say the driver of the stolen vehicle hit several cars attempting to evade police.

About Incident
Shortly before 4 PM on Friday, police responded to a report of a carjacking at gunpoint on General Street, between Admiral Street and Douglas Avenue.
Police said they then saw the vehicle that had been reported stolen on Douglas Avenue, operating in a reckless manner.
According to police, officers followed the vehicle, which sideswiped several cars before crashing into another vehicle.
The suspects all reportedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot; police said they were able to apprehend a 17-year-old suspect.
