Valentine’s Date Goes Awry — Man Reports Being Robbed at Gunpoint After Picking Woman Up

A Valentine’s Date date reportedly went wrong in Providence, after a man told police he was robbed — at gunpoint.
About Incident
The victim — a male in his 20s — told police he had met a woman on a dating app and arranged to pick her up at an agreed-upon location in Elmhurst.

Both suspects reportedly pointed guns at him and demanded cash.
According to police, the victim said the suspects then demanded access to his phone to transfer money.
The victim told police the woman then joined the suspects in leaving the scene; the victim said he drove off and called police.
Detectives are currently investigating.
