Talented rising sophomore guard Jayden Pierre will remain at Providence College.

On Tuesday, Pierre entered the transfer portal; on Sunday, he announced he was exiting the transfer portal and will remain at Providence College.

Pierre played regularly for coach Ed Cooley and averaged 2.5 points per game and was regularly praised by Cooley for his job as a floor general.

He was the second Friar to enter the transfer portal — previously, senior Jared Bynum announced his intention.

This announcement follows a weekend in which Alyx Breed was arrested and charged with multiple crimes and has been suspended from the team.

Providence College men’s basketball coach Kim English tweeted Sunday night, “Yessssirrrrr.. translation… UP OUT THE PORTAL!!! #Mindset”
