RPL’s Cumberland Office Welcomes Sales Associate Amna Memon

Residential Properties Ltd. announced that Sales Associate Amna Memon has joined the expert roster of real estate advisors at our Cumberland office. Beginning her real estate career in 2018, Amna has sharpened her skills as an effective negotiator and results-focused agent. Her goal is to match people with the perfect home. First-time homebuyers, income-seeking investors, and folks looking for a change come to Amna for her expertise and integrity.
Amna to the rescue
Amna was born and raised in Rhode Island. An innately entrepreneurial and ambitious person, she worked in animal rescue prior to real estate and owned her own pet store for many years. She believes in community, so much so that she created a program to help train dogs to assist veterans with PTSD.
Working with different brokerages, she established herself as a skilled professional selling commercial buildings, multi-families, and single-family homes. She has also worked with tenant-filled multi-families to simplify the real estate process for landlords. Her desire to better serve her clients with advanced capabilities and connections led her to join RPL. “Residential Properties offers professional services unlike any other agency,” Memon said. “From full-time, in-house marketing and a dedicated Relo department to its affiliation with LeadingRE, agents have ease and access to services most other brokerages simply don’t supply, allowing us to focus on what we do best – selling properties.”
Helping clients and the community
She is a speaker of both Hindi and Urdu. Amna’s family is originally from India, inspiring her to spend time helping the local refugee community by collecting and distributing clothing, helping with drives to appointments, and teaching English. Her guilty pleasure, however, is taking a deep dive into the latest beauty trends and makeup tips. For Amna, the word “home” means time with her young daughter, their two cats, and a dog, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

McGough and Herne Join PACE-RI Board of Directors
University of Rhode Island Professor and Department Chair Ellen L. McGough, PhD, PT, and human resource professional Megan M. Herne have joined the PACE-RI board of directors.
McGough of West Kingston is a licensed physical therapist who works as a professor and the chairperson of the department of physical therapy at the University of Rhode Island. She also serves as an affiliate professor at the University of Washington biobehavioral nursing department, participating in research.
Licensed in Rhode Island and Washington, Dr. McGough is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She currently serves on the URI Faculty Senate, as a member of the PhD in Health Sciences Committee and as a member of the Rhode Island Collaborative for Interprofessional Education Committee.
McGough has published in numerous peer review publications, including The Physical Therapy Journal, Clinical Interventions in Aging, Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, Healthy Aging and Clinical Care in the Elderly, Gerontologist, and Physical & Occupational Therapy in Geriatrics. She has also contributed to numerous books and has been tapped to speak as an expert about issues of mobility and aging at both national and international professional forums.
McGough earned her B.S. in physical therapy after receiving her B.S. in microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She received her master’s degree in education and a PhD in nursing sciences from the University of Washington. McGough participated in a predoctoral fellowship in the rehabilitation sciences training program and a post-doctoral fellowship in biobehavioral nursing at the University of Washington.
Herne of North Providence is director of human resources and social responsibility at Cooley Group where she is responsible for creating a healthier, happier, and productive work environment by creating a culture that rewards collaboration, innovation, and safety. She leads the human resources team that oversees Cooley employees who work in four manufacturing facilities across North America.
Herne graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She received her M.BA. in human resource management from Southern New Hampshire University. She is a graduate of the Omicron II class of Leadership Rhode Island, serves on the board of Meals on Wheels Rhode Island and is a trustee of the William H. Davies, Jr. Career & Technical High School.
PACE-RI, pace-ri.org, is a non-profit health plan for adults 55 and older who have chronic health needs and wish to remain living at home. Founded in 2005, PACE-RI provides both insurance and medical care, as well as a range of health and social services that include adult day care, transportation, and meals at sites in East Providence, Woonsocket, Westerly and Newport. Taking a comprehensive approach to well-being, PACE-RI keeps medically complex participants out of nursing homes an average of four additional years as compared to their counterparts living independently without the supports provided by PACE.
