About Incident

Shortly before 1:30 AM Saturday morning, police said they responded to State Auto Body at 380 Valley Street for a report of shots fired.

A Providence police officer reported hearing multiple shots in the area of Harold and Valley Streets, and upon arrival, observed multiple spent shell casings in the street.

Witnesses told police that they saw a fight break out in front of TaFino restaurant on Valley Street before they observed two men fighting in front of the entrance to the Auto Body parking lot.

One of the men reportedly brandished — and fired — a gun.

Police said they then met with victims who said while they were driving in their car on Harold Street, that it had been shot.

According to police, the vehicle was found to have multiple bullet holes, including through the windshield.

Detectives are currently investigating.
