A New “Kitchen” is Opening in RI This Weekend — With Familiar Faces and Foods

Cara Jenness, who had owned Plouffe’s Diner in Pawtucket before it closed at the beginning of the year, announced she has a new endeavor.
And it opens Saturday.
GET THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS HERE -- SIGN UP FOR GOLOCAL FREE DAILY EBLAST“Cara’s Kitchen” — located in Lincoln at the Fairlawn Golf Course, which is open to the public — will feature many of the same breakfast and lunch items found at Plouffe’s, according to its menus.
This week, Jenness made the following announcement:
"After a much need pause from social media, I am delighted to announce that I am back. And, if greeting you with my presence was not enlightening enough, I have some amazing news to share with all of you.
I am pleased to announce April 1st is the grand opening of my new kitchen. Located at Bogey’s at Fairlawn Golf Course in Lincoln, RI.
Closing Plouffes Diner was one of the biggest heartbreaks I’ve ever faced and the main reason why I struggled so bad was because I was losing all of my friends, faithful customers and beloved downtown Pawtucket. I fought so hard to be able to reopen but due to circumstances outside of my control we could not reach amicable terms for a lease which left me no choice but to move on.
This new opportunity is a fantastic new chapter! The whole entire vibe here is exactly the same vibe we had at my diner. The 'Cheers' vibe. I’m so excited to open this Saturday and get back to doing what I was made to do.
I will be starting back up the food truck shortly and I still offer catering as well so please share this post and reach out for all your catering needs! My daughter and right hand woman Katelyn Jenness is my equal and I am only as good as the team I have beside me. We are anxiously waiting to see you all there and hope that soon we will all be reunited again.
