Family of Judge Licht Issues Statement: “His Injuries are Serious, But He’s a Fighter”

The family of Justice Richard Licht -- the former Lt. Governor of Rhode Island -- has issued a statement regarding his condition, after he was hit outside the Rhode Island State House this week.
On Friday, the family released the following:
“Our family is deeply appreciative of the outpouring of concern regarding Richard’s injuries and the support and prayers for his healing and recovery. His injuries were serious, but he is a fighter: he has come through emergency surgery well and is resting and in the capable hands of a team of physicians at RI Hospital.
