Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash in Cranston - Police Investigating

A multi-vehicle crash in Cranston resulted in a fatality on Wednesday night.
According to police, a house was also struck and damaged as a result of the accident.
About Incident
Cranston Police Major Todd Patalano released the following statement on Wednesday night shortly before 11 PM:
"We are currently on the scene of a multi-vehicle motor vehicle accident and then a home was struck, which resulted in one fatality. The fatality was the operator of the vehicle that is believed to have caused the crash.
The operator who later succumbed to his injuries was operating a white SUV, traveling south on Dyer Avenue, the white SUV struck a parked vehicle and then continued southbound and at some point struck another vehicle and then a home [on] Dyer Avenue, causing substantial damage to the structure.
The operator is not being identified until the family has been notified and the crash is being investigated by the Cranston Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit and BCI unit."
