Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera told GoLocal she is “considering” running.

“There’s a lot to consider  — it’s happening very quick,” said Rivera. “ I’ve got to talk with my team. I love my city.”

Rivera told GoLocal if she runs, she believes she has the experience for the position

“Since I’ve been here since Mayor, I’ve established good relationships for the city. [Former Mayor James Diossa] did a good job. With Congress and the General Assembly, I’ve worked hard to get support for the city,” said Rivera.

“I just want to address the needs of the community — in Central Falls, we’ve been able to address almost all of the priorities I campaigned on.”
