Man Shot on I-95 in Providence — Police Investigating

A man was injured in a shooting on I-95 in Providence on Friday night.
A vehicle located by police was found to have multiple bullet holes.

About Incident
Shortly after 11 PM on Friday, Providence police were called to a parking lot on Chestnut Street downtown for a report of a shooting.
Police said they encountered a male victim in his 20s, who appeared to have been shot in his torso.
According to police, the victim said the shooting took place on 95 North by Providence Place Mall.
A vehicle in the parking lot was found to have several bullet holes, including one that shattered a window, say police.
The victim was taken by rescue to Rhode Island Hospital; the vehicle was towed from the scene.
State police and detectives are currently investigating.
