Pathways to Success Workshop Sept 18, 2018
Parents, grandparents and guardians will have the opportunity to attend 2 workshop sessions.

Workshop 1- 5:00-6:00pm  Restorative Practices, Mindfulness for Parents (Part 1 of 3)
Workshop 2- 6:00-7:00pm  Executive Functioning, Mindfulness for Parents (Part 1 of 3)

Workshops are for parents and guardians of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Gresham.

* Restorative Practices- exploring what restorative practices are, why they are important, the ways in which Gresham is moving toward implementing restorative practices and how families can support this important work.
* Executive Functioning- Executive functions let people plan, organize and complete tasks. Learn how to support your student develop these essential skills.
* Mindfulness for Parents- this is part 1 of a 3 part course. The other required dates are Oct. 16 & Nov. 13. The course will also include on-line portions. Come to either the 5pm or the 6pm session. Both sessions will be the same. Parents will learn how to develop a personal practice of mindfulness, discuss ways of understanding and supporting our children and deepen a sense of Gresham community. We will use Dr. Dan Siegel’s book, Brainstorm. Limited amount of copies available.

(Note: There will not be childcare provided. If children come they need to stay with their parents and have something to do.)
