Thanks for your interest in participating in this year's City-Assisted Evacuation (CAE) exercise! Everyone is welcome to participate, and we are hoping to attract neighborhood groups, businesses, and more to ensure that we are ready for a real-life evacuation event. This exercise is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 17th. We will send out the finalized schedule and orientation info soon!

We have two roles for volunteers to play- Evacuteers and evacuees. Trained Evacuteers will fill the Evacuteer roles until those spots are filled. We will need a much higher number of volunteers to role-play as evacuees- the more volunteer evacuees we have, the better we can test these systems in advance of a real-life activation! We appreciate your patience and flexibility throughout the scheduling and assignment process! Keep an eye out for this information to arrive in your inbox in the coming weeks leading up to the exercise.

Tentative agenda (evacuee transitions may differ):
8am: Volunteers will arrive at New Orleans Morial Convention Center for orientation and break-down of roles;
Evacuteer-trained individuals may be tasked as an Evacuteer OR an evacuee
8:30am: Volunteer orientation
9am: Volunteers will be bused to the Evacuspots (either Central City, Sanchez Center in the Lower Ninth Ward) and begin the role-playing exercise
10:30am: RTA buses will pick-up volunteer evacuees at the Evacuspots and bus them back to the Convention Center for staging of processing center (this will be our simulated UPT)
11:30am: 2 buses of volunteer evacuees will be transported to the New Orleans International Airport for processing to simulate air evacuations
12:30pm: Lunch
1pm - 2pm: Various exercises will be run from the Convention Center
