2019-20 (Senior)
Nemeth’s fall was highlighted by his run in the singles bracket of the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships, where he advanced to the round of 32. He ended the fall going 4-5 in singles. In doubles, Nemeth partnered with Alp Sentay and debuted in the ITA rankings at No. 60 to start the season. The duo advanced to the round of 16 at Regionals and ended the fall with a 6-4 record. In the spring, the pair continued their success going 8-2, including a 2-0 record at the top spot. Nemeth earned a 3-5 record in spring singles matches. Spring season shortened due to COVID-19 pandemic.

2018-19 (Junior)
Nemeth had an outstanding fall, going 9-1 in doubles competition with teammate Constant De La Bassetiere. In their first tournament of the fall together, the duo earned six-straight wins to become the first pair in program history to win the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships. The pair then went on to compete at the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships where they were crowned consolation doubles champions. On their way to the victory, the team defeated three seeded teams including No. 1 Columbia, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 6 South Alabama. Nemeth and De La Bassetiere ended the fall season as the No. 1 doubles pair in the nation according to the ITA Rankings, becoming the first duo to earn the top rank in program history. The tandem continued their dominance in the spring season, earning a 12-10 record at No. 1 doubles in addition to beating three nationally ranked duos. Nemeth ended his junior year with a 24-12 doubles record, good enough to earn sixth place on the all-time list for doubles wins in a season. In singles, Nemeth earned a 7-4 record at the No. 4 spot and earned four conference wins.

2017-18 (Sophomore)
Nemeth had an impressive singles sophomore season, going 18-11 overall. At the Big Ten Indoor Championships, he advanced to the round of 32 in the singles main draw. He ended the fall season with a singles record of 6-1. In the spring, Nemeth continued his singles success with a 12-10 record. The highlight of his season was defeating Big Ten rival, No. 33 Minnesota. He also posted an overall 17-12 doubles record. Seven of those wins came with partner Matt Galush and five wins came with partner Constant De La Bassetiere.
 
2016-17 (Freshman) 
Nemeth had an overall winning 11-5 record in singles this season. He finished the fall tournament circuit 6-3 after competing in three different tournaments. In the spring season, Nemeth finished 5-2 playing at the No. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 positions throughout the season. Nemeth also had a winning 14-3 doubles record. He had a seven match win streak with partners Aws Laaribi (three straight) and Christian Lutschaunig (four straight). Nemeth and Lutschaunig advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Regionals double draw.
 
Before Penn State
Gabriel Nemeth, originally from Brazil, began playing tennis at the age of ten. At 14 years of age, he won a Brazilian National Doubles Championship. Nemeth has consistently been in the top 20 in Brazil’s national rankings, earning a ranking of No. 7, his highest, when he was 15 years old. Gabriel moved from Brazil to Florida to train at Evert Tennis Academy, where he won both Most Improved Player (2014-2015) and Player of the Year (2015-2016). Nemeth also played with the International Tennis Federation for one and a half years, reaching a rank of 405th in the world. While with the ITF, Nemeth won three ITF titles for doubles and as a finalist in both ITF doubles and a singles.
