Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Hello Beautiful Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in total prizes)

Hello and welcome back to my blog! It’s time for the new Craft Your Life Project Kit reveal! I’m so excited to join Altenew for the brand new Craft Your Life Project Kit: Hello Beautiful Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the awesome Ishani’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.

Project 1

First, I placed an A2 Kraft cardstock in the Hello Beautiful Embossing Folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. Next, I inked the edges using Jet Black Ink along with an ink blending tool

After that, I coloured the image using a white pastel pencil and added the shadows using a 2B pencil. Then I added the details on the flowers using a black gel pen. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment using Obsidian Pigment Ink and stuck this card panel on an A2 card base.

Project 2

I started by stamping the outline of the flower image from the Hello Beautiful Stamp Set on an A2 card base using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I inked the rest of the layers using the Simple Coloring Stencil Set along with the below Crisp Dye Inks:
Flower:
1st Layer – Citrus Burst, Orange Cream
2nd Layer – Heart Beat, Jet Black
3rd Layer – Just Green
4th Layer – Hunter Green
Leaves:
1st Layer – Firefly, Just Green
2nd Layer – Hunter Green, Evergreen, Jet Black

I then drew the lines around the image using a steel ruler and a black fine liner pen. After that, I masked the image and the edges using a masking paper. Next, I placed the Fine Tulle Stencil on the card panel and inked it using Tide Blue Crisp Dye Ink. Then, I splattered Jet Black Ink on the card panel using a round brush.

As the last step, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink.

  1. Your art is stunning, Joylita. Thanks for showcasing the new Hello Beautiful set from Altenew so creatively. I love the bright colors and overall design.

  2. Stunning inspiration! Love coloring on kraft. That card is so elegant. And the 2nd card is full of vibrant, bold colors; sooo beautiful.

  3. Gorgeous cards. Really liked the tan card the best. My favorite part about it was it looked as if you were using a filter like on cameras where there is a vignette! Such a cool look, I will have to try that technique if I can remember! Makes a great focal point on the flowers!

  4. Love that brown tone card. I think it is so neat that you can make it look like the card has it’s own light source just with inks.

  5. What a contrast of colors in the two cards but both turned out beautiful. Shows so much can be done with same set. Thanks!

  6. I have never seen the technique used on the first card before. That is so pretty and makes it look like a spotlight is shining on it.

  7. These are gorgeous!! I really love both…..but the first one just calls to me. I have everything I need to try it too. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!!
