Craft Your Life Project Kit: Lush Garden Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome back to my blog! It’s time for the new Craft Your Life Project Kit reveal! I’m so excited to join Altenew for the brand new Craft Your Life Project Kit: Lush Garden Release Blog Hop + Giveaway. You should be arriving here from the awesome Natasha’s blog, but if not, you can go back to the start, at the Altenew Card Blog and go from there.

Project 1

First, I placed the Lush Garden Embossing Folder on the edge of an A2 Jet Black cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine. Then I placed the other edge in the folder and ran it through the machine. While double embossing, please ensure that the embossing folder and the cutting plates do not overlap the previous embossing.

Next, I inked the embossed portion using Antique Gold Pigment Ink along with an ink blending tool. After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Stunning Cosmos Stamp Set using Embossing ink, sprinkled gold embossing powder on it, dusted off the excess, and heat set it with my heat gun. Then I stuck the antique gold sequins on both sides of the sentiment.

Supplies:

Project 2

I started by stamping the images from the Lush Garden Stamp Set using the below Crisp Dye Inks:
Flower:
1st Layer
– Coral Bliss, Heart Beat
2nd Layer – Vineyard Berry, Grapevine
3rd Layer – Firefly, Just Green
4th Layer – Hunter Green
Leaves:
1st Layer
– Firefly, Just Green
2nd Layer – Hunter Green, Evergreen

Note: For the layers with 2/3 different inks, I stamped the image first using the lighter ink. Then I applied the darker ink on the stamp set and blend it with my ink blending tool before stamping it. This technique helps me get more depth in my stamped images.

I then placed the Lush Garden Simple Colouring Stencil on the leaves and lightly inked them using Firefly Crisp Dye Ink along with an ink blending tool. Then I die cut the images using the coordinating dies.

Next, I stuck the Foiled Marble Washi Tape on white cardstock. Then I die cut it using a die from the Mod Vases Die Set. After that, I went around the edges of the vase using a Brush Marker from the Fine Liner Pen Set.

Then I stamped the sentiment from the Lush Garden Stamp Set on Jet Black Cardstock using White Embossing Powder. Next, I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Handmade Tags Die, cut off the excess cardstock, and embossed the edges using Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I then tied the Enchanted Gold thread on it.

After that, I die cut the frame from Jet Black cardstock using the Fine Frames Cover Die and stuck it on an A2 card base. Next, I inked the edges of the frame using Embossing Ink, sprinkled Antique Gold Embossing Powder on it and dusted off the excess. I also sprinkled some embossing powder on the frame and heat set it.

Next, I stuck the leaves on the card front using precision glue. Then I placed the golden thread of the tag around the vase and stuck it on the card. To add dimension to the flower, I stuck it on the panel using foam tape.

Project 3

I placed an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock in the Lush Garden Embossing Folder and ran it through the die cutting machine. Then I used the Lush Garden Simple Coloring Stencil Set (3 in 1) along with the Crisp Dye Inks and my blending tools to ink them. Below are the colours I used for the different layers:
Red Flowers – Heart Beat, Vineyard Berry, Fresh Lemon and Honey Drizzle
Orange Flowers – Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Fresh Lemon and Honey Drizzle
Yellow Flowers – Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle and Autumn Blaze
Leaves – Firefly, Just Green and Hunter Green

After that, I stamped the sentiment from the Paint-A-Flower: Hydrangea Outline Stamp Set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Lastly, I masked the sentiment and splattered white gouache on the card panel using a round brush.
