Elections for New York CAC Co-Chair
We are happy to announce that we have two highly qualified candidates for the empty NY CAC Co-Chair slot, Lisa Bloodgood, from Newtown Creek Alliance, and Carrie Roble from Hudson River Park Trust. Their bios, as well as an updated list of CAC voting members, is included below:

Carrie Roble

Carrie Roble is Hudson River Park’s Director of Science and Stewardship.  She dedicates her work to the health of the Hudson River and empowering New Yorkers to be stewards of NYC’s waterways. Carrie has been working on the estuary since 2010 and enjoys applying her background in aquatic ecology and environmental justice to further innovative habitat health and citizen science projects . Carrie is also an Environmental Leadership Program Senior Fellow, National Network for Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation Facilitator, Plus Pool Advisory Committee member, boat captain, and Gowanus Dredger.

 Lisa Bloodgood

Lisa currently works full time for the Newtown Creek Alliance as Education Coordinator and has a special focus on ecology and restoration projects. She has worked as a Field Biologist with the Natural Areas Conservancy, as a Lab Assistant for the Urban Soils Institute, and spent several years working as Environmental Advisor and Community Liaison to a New York City Council Member covering a waterfront district. Lisa is a current member of the Newtown Creek Community Advisory Group (CAG) and is a member of the both Steering and Technical Committees, she sits on the Board of Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG), a North Brooklyn based environmental justice nonprofit. In light of NYC's legacy of lead use and contamination, she is an active member of the NYC Legacy Lead Consortium, a group dedicated to the protection of human and ecological health.
