GeoEngineers, Inc, a leading environmental and engineering consulting services provider, is seeking a qualified, full-time hydrogeologist. The successful candidate also will also support our other Pacific Northwest offices and national natural resources practice. Individuals with complimentary skills in water quality and contaminant fate and transport assessment are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

– Project planning and budgeting, fieldwork and data collection, data management, subcontractor oversight, data analysis, QA/QC review, reporting, and technical project management.
– Much of the work will emphasize groundwater supply investigations, groundwater control assessments, aquifer testing and analysis, groundwater flow modeling, statistical analysis, and hydrogeologic/hydrologic analysis.
– Professional-level verbal and written communication skills
– Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of water resource and groundwater management projects.
– Complete complex hydrogeologic analyses and calculations.
– Coordinate projects from start to finish including field data collection.
– Presentation of project concepts, findings and recommendations to clients, owners and regulatory agencies.
– Prepare technical reports using GeoEngineers and client templates.
– Provide technical review and mentorship of junior staff.

Qualifications

– BS in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related field (MS preferred).
– 5 plus years related experience.
– Licensed as a PG/LG with sufficient experience to apply for WA LHG.
– Experience with:
– Northwestern U.S. groundwater resources, geology and water rights.
– Design and installation of water supply wells.
– Managed aquifer recharge experience is a plus.
– Groundwater control assessments and system design and implementation for development, industrial, and water/wastewater projects.
– Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, MODFLOW, SEEP/w, AQTESOLV, etc. preferred.
– Hold a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

– All employees are subject to completing a background check, reference check, and pre-employment physicals and drug/alcohol testing.
– Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and do heavy work including exerting up to 50 pounds of force on occasion.
– Able to perform consistent work on a PC.
– Ability to travel for short-term and long-term assignments as needed.
– All employees are responsible for conducting their work in a safe manner. This includes identifying potential safety hazards and reporting them to the designated project manager in a timely manner and participating in project safety briefings. This also includes wearing appropriate safety equipment when working in the field and completing all required health & safety training prior to beginning field work.

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Spokane, WA and Kennewick, WA is $66,901 – $84,044. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers’ salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
