The DC Department of Energy and Environment’s Watershed Protection Division is looking to hire an early career professional interested in working with community members, spending time outdoors, and educating District residents about green infrastructure and non-point source pollution.
The incumbent will complete stormwater assessments, offer techniques to control non-point source pollution, effectively communicate the benefits of stormwater management practices, suggest the appropriate best management practice, enter information into a GIS-based tracking system, and coordinate with grantees and contractors to ensure that stormwater practices are installed appropriately.
Candidates should be highly organized, self-motivated, willing to work in all weather conditions, knowledgeable about green infrastructure, and interested in public engagement.
