Offer Description
The Department of Water, Atmosphere and Environment, Institute of Sanitary Engineering and Water Pollution Control is currently seeking an Postgraduate Research Associate (PreDoc level / project employment) in the field of drinking water supply.
Extent of employment: 30 h/week
Duration of employment: 1st of March 2023, limited to 31st of December 2023, with option for temporary extension
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 2.458,00
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration on research projects in the field of sanitary engineering (primarily water supply)
- Planning preparation and implementation of scientific investigations in the field of water supply and water quality
- Data preparation and date evaluation in the context of sanitary engineering through the application of efficient data processing concepts.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Master degree in Civil Engineering and Water Management/Environment and Bio-Resource Management or comparable studies
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge and application experience with software for statistical analysis (R, Python, or similar)
- Experience in the fields of water supply, water quality or water quality monitoring is an advantage
- Experience with automated processing or evaluation of environmental data is an advantage
- Ability to work in a team, resilience and organizational skills, hand-on mentality
- Language skills: German, English
