POSITION:Expert in Environmental Engagement and Awareness

DURATION / DUREE: 24 months
GENERAL OBJECTIVE / OBJECTIVE GENERAL: We are interested in an expert in environmental engagement and awareness to provide technical assistance and support to the locally based team
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLICATION SERVICES AND EXPECTED RESULTS / OBJECTIVES PARTICULIERS, SERVICES DEMANDES ET RÉSULTATS A ATTEINDRE:
Duties and responsibilities include:
– Engaging with beneficiaries and other stakeholders to ensure coherence in the different support actions and maximise synergies
– Monitoring satisfaction levels of beneficiaries and other stakeholders with the provided support and suggest improvement actions to the rest of the team and Contracting Authority
– Identifying working groups of beneficiaries that are not engaging and/or delivering as originally envisaged and propose improvement actions
– Organising and implementing logistics for trainings and other capacity building activities
– Developing and implement the communication strategy
– Organising and implementing communication activities to educate and raise environmental awareness in the communities. As well as, to increase the visibility of the sector and disseminate information to the public about achievements and impact made
– Creating content and managing the project’s web portal and social media
– Being involved in the day-to-day activities of the project team, assisting in the provision of tailor-made counselling and assistance, and in particular in helping the team in designing and updating their communication strategy and preparing their advocacy strategy.
QUALIFICATION: Minimum requirements:
Education: A level of education that corresponds to completed university studies, attested by a diploma in sciences, engineering, business, marketing or any other relevant discipline
– Language: excellent command of written and spoken English, knowledge of Turkish would be an asset.
– At least 6 years of post-graduate professional experience in the field of marketing, advocacy, communication, education, or any other discipline relevant to the tasks mentioned above.
– At least 3 years of post-graduate professional experience working in environmental related projects.
– Work experience in Cyprus would be an asset.
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE / EXPÉRIENCE SPÉCIFIQUE:
WORK LANGUAGE / LANGUE DE TRAVAIL: excellent command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Turkish would be an asset.
