Job Purpose

Water is one of the most important issues facing Colorado, and Resource Central leads residents to practical solutions that empower them to use less water. Through a variety of popular conservation programs and in partnership with over 40 water providers, Resource Central helps participants across Colorado learn about and practice water conservation and sustainable landscaping. The Water Programs Coordinator will play a central role in the day-to-day planning and operation of Resource Central’s wildly successful Slow the Flow program; the role will be primarily responsible for administrative tasks and customer service which lead the community to solutions that save water through effective and efficient irrigation practices.

This is a hybrid remote role with great flexibility; occasional on-site work is required. Principal Responsibilities

The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide scheduling and operational assistance for all Slow the Flow water conservation services including sprinkler evaluations, smart controller and rain sensor installations, and leak detection support.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to encourage water conservation by a large number of participants via phone, email, and in person. Maintain customer service procedures by keeping them current.
  • Become an expert on Slow the Flow processes, procedures, and software. Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient and effective.
  • Generate, compile, and analyze reports; develop and maintain databases and/or spreadsheets; prepare specific and recurring reports containing specialized information.
  • Update and oversee Slow the Flow outreach, application process, scheduling, and customer communications for all non-residential (HOA/Business) properties.
  • Develop and implement seasonal marketing campaigns and lead program marketing efforts throughout the year.
  • Revise the program website as needed to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for all Slow the Flow services.
  • Contribute to the success of all water programs, and contribute towards building a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented team.
  • Assist with training office and field staff as needed.
  • Cultivate a strong sense of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years of work experience in a related field OR a college degree required.
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (formerly Google Suite) required.
  • Prior customer service experience in a professional setting strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of, or demonstrated interest in, gardening, sprinkler systems, lawn removal, or low-water landscaping preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age upon hire date.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work and travel to other Front Range cities occasionally required.
  • Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
  • Ability to complete physical labor, including being able to safely lift a maximum of 30 lbs, and willingness to work outside in most conditions preferred.
