JOB DETAILS:

Position SummaryThis 12-month position in the College of Natural Resources (CNR) involves assisting with the design, development, implementation, and marketing of a hybrid (online coursework and face to face field experience) program in Freshwater Science and Management. This position will support faculty with online and field-based education programs, supporting undergraduate/graduate program initiatives for non-traditional students, managing program revenue budgets, and assisting development and implementation of programs. This program specialist will develop relationships with college disciplines and core partners including partners in other UW-System universities as part of the UW-System Freshwater Collaborative Program (FWC). The program specialist will be expected to support and facilitate new water and aquatic science courses, programs, and partnerships. This position will report to the Dean of the College of Natural Resources.Schedule:7:45am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Evening and Weekend hours as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in natural resources or sciences, social sciences, education, communication or any relevant field in post-secondary education.Experience with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and data analysis. 
Preferred QualificationsEvidence of ability to collaborate with natural resource organizations and other higher education institutionsEffective oral and written communication skillsDetail-orientatedCollaborate with others in designing new academic programs and provide referrals to the appropriate partner for new professional development opportunitiesDevelopment of recruitment/marketing strategies targeted for incoming undergraduate students, post-baccalaureate, and non-traditional students.

Terms of Employment This is an Academic Staff annual appointment, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
