The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center, is seeking applications from enthusiastic students who are looking to gain professional experience in the field of communications at its office in New Delhi, India.

During this internship, the intern will assist in the following areas:

  • Write and edit blogs, articles, and social media content.
  • Support the production of communication collaterals for the India office and CGIAR Research Initiatives.
  • Assist with IWMI’s participation in India Water Week 2022.
  • Collate media coverage and assist in analysis.
  • Help with the preparation of a strong media database and building media relations.
  • Help organize photographs, videos, etc., for future reference.
  • Help with the editing of content for the website.
  • Provide day-to-day support to communication-related activities.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience:

  • Master’s students who have recently graduated in journalism, communications, media studies, social sciences or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment with strong teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of designing software.

IWMI will provide a monthly stipend to the selected candidate during the internship period.

The duration of the initial internship contract will be for 3 months with the possibility of extension based on performance, requirements of IWMI, and availability of funds. This is a nationally recruited internship and only citizens of India are eligible to apply.
