The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water (DRMDW) drives growth for Queensland by managing sustainable water resources, leading innovation in manufacturing and developing our regions. From our offices in Brisbane and a network of regional offices and manufacturing hubs, more than 580 DRDMW staff work to create a Queensland where communities, businesses and water resources are sustainable and resilient.
This role is in the Water Infrastructure and Strategic Coordination Branch and you will work on a range of water supply proposal assessments and provide advice to government on the merits of the various proposals and assessments. You will lead and oversee technical water supply options assessment for large scale bulk water infrastructure proposals undertaken by the Department and its partners/stakeholders.
You will be responsible for providing high quality advice regarding the strategic risks and opportunities associated with advancing bulk water proposals and activities in regional Queensland in a range of communication approaches and mechanisms.
You will also lead the development of funding agreements for the provision of funding for the water infrastructure proposals funded successfully funded under the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund via a National Partnership Agreement with the Australian Government.
