The Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Network www.swpawaternetwork.orgis seeking a Strategic Network Coordinator. This is a full-time one-year remote position (anticipated to be renewable) which does require some travel. The successful candidate must live in the region. The position will pay $70,000 with benefits.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 5-years of experience working with a non-profit organization, and leadership experience with budget responsibility. Candidate should have experience with coordination and stakeholder engagement with a diverse range of people (e.g. government agencies, NGOs, utilities, community groups, private companies, elected officials.) A basic understanding of ArcGIS is desirable.

The goal of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Network is to develop relationships with regional stakeholders to achieve the vision that Southwestern Pennsylvania water resources are sustainably, equitably, and collaborativelymanaged to protectpublic health and the environment, enhance community and system resilience, and deliver economic, ecological, and social benefits for all people of the region.

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Network’s Strategic Coordinator is a full-time, exempt position (40 hours/week). The Coordinator will be responsible to lead and grow our successful water network while embracing our mission and partnering with the Strategic Working Group to implement the network’s goals. The Coordinator should have an understanding of water resources and conservation and appreciate good stewardship of natural resources, equity, and environmental health. While being a responsive and enthusiastic advocate of the Network, the Coordinator will embrace teamwork, recognize, and appreciate the extraordinary power of cooperation and teamwork of regional stakeholders, and promote transparency, inclusiveness, and diversity. As a skilled and creative collaborator, the Coordinator will forge partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the Network’s success.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Enthusiastically represent the Water Network as the outward face and visionary leader of the organization.

· Work with the Strategic Working Group, which is the governing body for the Water Network, to collaborate with those in the region involved with water.

· Develop and maintain a framework of collaborative actions around regional water data generation, sharing and use, that considers quality, quantity, equity, and environmental health.

· Foster partnerships with key stakeholders by actively collaborating with a diverse range of organizations in the region and cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with donors and members.

· Establish and maintain a communication- and information-sharing platform to encourage stakeholder interaction.

Other Duties:

· Create and nurture a culture of transparency, communication, and support throughout the Network.

· Plan, organize and direct the Network’s operations and programs, welcoming the opportunity to work with regional stakeholders to further solidify and enhance processes and policies.

· Develop and implement an annual budget to support the plan.

· Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate fundraising results, variances and performance trends to donors and the Strategic Working Group.

· Lead and oversee the efforts of Network committees to ensure appropriate support.

· Address internal and external challenges to inform best practices within the Network.

· Engage with the Strategic Working Group to establish a solid and collaborative partnership, including generating periodic financial statements for Board review.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in conservation, nonprofit management, or other relevant field with 5+ years of progressive experience (may include paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work).
Proven experience in leading and supervising a diverse team of professionals towards impactful strategic outcomes in a fast-paced work environment.

· Knowledge of nonprofit standard business practices.

· Innovative approach to organizational sustainability and the flexibility to capitalize on new opportunities that align with the Network’s mission, values, and priorities.

· Solid understanding of water-related issues and how they affect health, equity, and its role in a heathy eco-system.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

· Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

· Willingness to travel locally and regionally.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and electronic communications.
