About the role

Provide engineering expertise and support which responds to client needs to ensure the consistent delivery of outcomes, including project quality, agreed timeframes and budget, in accordance with WH&S policies and procedures, in order to deliver the client’s objectives and critical success factors. Contribute to the operation of the Planning Team’s service line so that it is a viable commercial business providing value for money for clients.

  • Carry out hydraulic analysis for water supply and sewerage systems
  • Undertake options assessment for water supply and sewerage infrastructure upgrades
  • Undertake water demand and sewer load analysis for water supply and sewerage schemes
  • Identify the learning and development needs of yourself so as to ensure a high level of technical and project delivery capability
  • Demonstrate a safety culture which is focused on implementation of the Public Works Advisory (PWA) Safety Management System and processes to meet legislative and safety certification requirements.
  • Promote the technical and project capabilities of PWA and the team to internal clients in order to ensure the growth and viability of the business
  • Demonstrate client excellence by being responsive to client needs.

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will ideally have: 

  • A Tertiary qualification in a nominated engineering discipline (civil, chemical or environmental) with eligibility for member status of Professional Engineer of Engineers Australia
  • Proven experience in the water supply and/or sewerage consulting industry
  • Knowledge and experience in hydraulic modelling including modelling software’s such as InfoWorks and Mike Urban
  • Knowledge and experience in undertaking water demand and sewer load analysis for infrastructure planning
  • Understanding of water and sewage treatment and transfer systems
  • Able to work collaboratively within a team to deliver projects
  • Experience in water engineering projects including basic knowledge of specialist discipline such as geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering
  • A valid NSW Driver’s license and willingness to drive to remote locations which may include overnight stays.
