The Engineer III candidate will have knowledge and experience in land use-based analysis of water supply and demand, groundwater and watershed modelling concepts and applications, water supply projects/ programs alternatives analysis and/or implementation, and flood/drainage projects/programs alternatives analysis and/or implementation.
The ideal candidate will also have service-based leadership skills to facilitate decision making processes in a proactive and transparent manner. This includes collaborative negotiation skills, public speaking and engagement, and the facilitation of teams.
Factors that affect position allocation in the engineering career series include: Independence of action and decision-making responsibility; complexity and size of program or project assignment; level of supervisory responsibility; requirements for registration as a professional engineer or land surveyor in the State of California.
